First Post for 2020
I am ready to start the new year.
Nice to be able to take leave over the festive season. Don't do too much, just try and catch up on finishing the quilts that have been hanging around.
I am busy working on the current mystery of Bonnie Hunter, Folic. I opted to do only half the number of blocks and doing it in solids. I am not sure on this, so only doing half the number of units. Figure if I love it I can make it bigger, if not I can make it into a baby quilt or something along those lines.
There are a few ladies from Creative & Seaside Quilters' participating so we have been getting together to sew along and that is half the fun.

I hauled out my Bonnie mystery from 2016 thinking it would be a quick thing to put together. It sort of was. But now that I am close to being done, I realised I need to make a few extra blocks to make up the border part so I can complete it. The blocks that need to be be made were my least favourite. So I have packed that one into a box with a note on what needs to be done next. Will get back onto that at a later stage.
I have a few more days of leave left and would like to do some other sewing.
I have opted to participate in a #40daysofpractice. I am going to do hand stitching.
For the first few, I will do a heart everyday. That way I can see if I am improving with each one. You have to post a video of what you are doing, so I get to use my gooseneck tripod.
Lots of room from improvement.
