My first attempt at July challenge. |

A bit more detail | | | | | | |

| I really struggled to get my lines straight on this so tried something a little different. |

| |
Did some squiggly lines instead | | |

Wasn't too sure what to do with this piece of quilted fabric.
Think I will turn it into an I-Pad bag.

Handles on |
Finally got the bag sewed up. Fits like a glove.
You did a fantastic job on both pieces...but I like the second one.

DeleteOoh, I LOVE your "curved tile" variation! And look at you, sewing your sample up into a cute little iPad bag. My samples just pile up in the sewing room until I take them out again to remind myself that I am, in fact, getting better at FMQ -- just very, VERY GRADUALLY! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca. Its only when you look at the older stuff do you realise how you have improved.
DeleteI really like the curved lines! It's amazing how one tweak can change the whole look of the design. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Angela for a great tutorial. Was so excited when I saw you were July's teacher. I have ordered you book and cant wait for it to get here. Unfortunately shipping to this neck of the woods takes a while so have to be patient.
DeleteYour curved squiggly lines add so much interest. Think in terms of ivy against a block wall with the leaves as filler in the squiggly sections! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery creative alternative to drawing straight lines... and it looks great!
